Down time

Just messing around, I needed to take a little break from my graphic design project. Thought it kinda looked cool so I thought I would post it.

You never finish anything, you just run out of time.

Poster for the upcoming showing of Akira Kurosawa's film "Dreams." I talked to some of my teachers and I think I would like to make this into a portfolio piece, so I am going to rework all the line qualities and some of the shapes and all that jazz.
I am happy with the way it came out, I worked pretty hard on it and I think it paid off.
I hope that this poster is well received, it will crush my little ego, if I get peed on by the "critics."
but I would like to hear any thoughts or suggestions, looking at you BFA junkies.

Amazing stuff

Tyler Stout got to do the artwork for the Flight of the Conchords CD. It is amazing, he is a demi-god.

Also they released a new video for "Ladies of the World"

Girlie Mags

Lizzy "don't call me Liz" House brought me back an awesome magazine from Portland, and yeah it may or may not be a magazine for the XX chromosome population. BUT don't stop reading there, because it has a sweet interview/article on AMY SEDARIS! Who battles Tina Fey in an epic ring of platinum chains for my heart. She is awesome, I like just how creative she really is, she is like Martha Stewart with out the hard knock prison lifestyle.






Also as a side note to our readers, this is pretty much spot on how I see Brother Griffin in class. As I believe this picture was taken in class.

Bravia does it once again

The Sony bravia commercials are without a doubt the coolest commercials ever, other than that guy dancing rubbing his stomach for little caesars. The other schweppes commercial is also amazing, sony is raising the bar. I'll see if I can't track down that other commercial. Oh yeah the bravia commercial is all real, stop motion clay bunnies no computer generated stuff.

Lion,-----, and Bears, Oh Bye

This is a project for my graphic design class, an environmental issue. I picked "extinct in the wild" animals, so they still exist just in zoos and private habitats, but not in the wild. I like the way it turned out, but I came to the conclusion while I was working on this and talking to the other graphic designers in the class, that I think I am more of an illustrator than a graphic design. Mostly because graphic designers don't like to draw! So Huntsman and I made fun of them for a little bit, and I think that illustration is the way to go.
