Still lives confuse me. That sounds like some sort of really deep and meaningful statement, but in reality it just means I'm not very good at painting still lifes or lives. I'm not sure. This painting is actually a lot cooler in person.
um this painting is 24 inches by 30 inches, so it is a beast, Also it is caked with oil paint. I finished it like 2 and a half weeks ago and it is still wet.

I like this painting a lot. I only wish the darks in the rest of the painting were as dark as the black/dark blue in the vase. Then it would fit together better.
