brian kershisnik friday?

I took after Nick's post. Mediocre portrait. Study of Jenny in the style of Brian Kershisnik, who after Nick Bontorno is one of my heros.

Hopped up on Sudafed

I have been sick all week and it has been super lame. So I busted out some printmaking paper Carla brought with her when the family came out to visit and started messing around. I definitely do not like painting on paper as much as canvas, it absorbs so much of the water, and I feel like I'm painting a watercolor, which doesn't make since because I don't know anything about watercolor. Basically I am trying to weasel out of a bad painting. Any who, I doubt I'll finish it, just wanted to experiment and make a blog post mostly.

"Some Tings."

A little painting in progress. I stumbled on this painting style online and wanted to give it a go, plus it's helping me learn more about color, which I could use. I have a big empty canvas waiting for me, so I will post something about it soon I hope, I would just like to paint something in color and it not be junk.

New Painting?!!

I don't know if I can do this any more justice than my already supreme photoshop skills.

"Can't win them all, and they all were at my show last night."

I really liked the composition of this one, but I couldn't get it together with the proportions so I scrapped it.

This is my 2nd (but really like 5th) I got really tired and frustrated so I just went for it and this is what is happening, I haven't spent enough time on the face or the hands (the 2 best parts) but I think its a reasonable start.

two posts in one day!?!

This is the start of a new painting I am starting, I am going to try and post along the way to show the ole' progress. Also it should help make my blog not a ghost town, like it was becoming.

A year in Blue?

I wore a blue suit at my wedding, (photo by Annie Watkins who enjoys new age fun with a vintage feel.)

Favorite Album of the year. By miles and miles

I read "Bluebeard" by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. and I adored it. As soon as it ended I wanted to pick it right back up and read it again. Brady recommended it to me, as he had just finished reading it, and wow. What an amazing book.

Best Quilt of year/all time. Lizzy outdid herself. (IT HAS BLUE ON IT JENNY)

I heart you guys.

Thank you everyone for an amazing year and cheers (for Brady who is still in love with her) to the next one.
